Will a jump start fix my car?

If the battery is the only issue, you can often drive away after the engine is running. If the alternator is bad or the battery won't hold a charge, the operator quotes a tow to a shop. Ask what they see before they recommend a tow.

Can you change a tire on the BQE or the Cross Bronx?

Usually, but if the flat is on the traffic side of the vehicle on an active expressway, the safer move is a short tow off the road to a safe lot and a tire swap there, quoted separately. The assigned operator confirms whether they can work that shoulder. On a parkway like the Belt or the FDR a tow truck is banned outright, so the safer move can be to reach the next exit first.

How much fuel do you bring?

The assigned operator quotes how much fuel they can bring, gasoline or diesel, before they roll. That is usually enough to reach the nearest station. They don't fill the tank at roadside because of pricing and safety. Fuel is quoted as part of that job, not as a published pump-plus markup.

What if I need a tow after the roadside call?

If the roadside work doesn't solve it, we can line up a tow from the same call. You hear the tow quote before anyone is dispatched for that second job.
